We are a nation of dog lovers. There are estimated 27 million pets in the UK with dog and cats being the main choice and an estimated 26% percent of people own dogs.
And that is why Kintripper are Dog Friendly. We had a dog for 13 years and two things she loved was camping, and going to the beach.
Since a lot of places now close off the beaches to dogs in the summer here is a list of dog friendly beaches. Why should they miss out?
Sandymouth, Cornwall
Dogs are welcome here all year round and it’s easily accessible with good camping. The beach is also a good surf spot, so if you fancy living the surfers life “Kip” the camper-van is the perfect vehicle to hire.
Perranporth Cornwall
Dogs need to be kept on leads during the holiday months July to August. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs that welcome dogs.
Westward Ho! North Devon
Offers miles of open sand and a huge area of grassland
Berrow Somerset
Part of a 7-mile stretch of sand running from Burnham-on-Sea to Brean Down, Berrow Beach is one of Somerset’s most picturesque beaches. Its flat wide sands, backed by sand dunes, make it a very pleasant place for walking. Avoid the shoreline at low tide where a dangerous area of soft sand and mud is exposed.
