Why Choose a Motorhome for Your Rugby World Cup Adventure?
- By-Pass Price Increase: Major sporting events often result in flights, hotels, and restaurants being fully booked up over the whole period of the event. This leads to drastic increases in prices throughout the country. By hiring a motorhome, you can bypass all of these rate hikes. You’ve got accommodation on wheels, a fully operational kitchen, and no need to travel by plane.
- Flexibility: Hotels sell out, and flight prices go sky-high, so people try to bypass this by booking things far in advance. But this leaves you unable to mix up your plans and follow what interests you. Fingers crossed, your team makes it to the final, but there is no way of knowing this before the tournament plays out. With a motorhome, you’re free to follow your team throughout the country, regardless of where they end up playing.

- Campsite Access: Many stadiums and cities across France offer dedicated campsites or parking areas for motorhomes during major events like the Rugby World Cup. These campsites often have facilities for motorhome travellers, such as electric hook-ups, waste disposal and showers, making your stay more enjoyable.
- Additional Activities: What if your team gets eliminated after the group stages, but you’ve still got a few extra days off work? With a camper, the fun doesn’t have to stop when the tournament finishes. You can drive to some of France’s well-known destinations to drown your sorrows or (more favourably) celebrate your team’s victory.

Rugby World Cup Travel Tips
Ticket Purchases
There have been a lot of fake tickets and scams going around in recent world sporting events. Stick to the official Rugby World Cup website and official resellers for the latest ticket sales so that you don’t come across any scams.
Visas & Documentation
Now we have left Europe, travelling to France isn’t as easy as it used to be. It is still fairly easy, however. You don’t need a visa if you plan to stay less than 90 days. So you will be fine to stay for the entire world cup, but if you plan to stay longer, check France’s official entry requirements.
Currency
France uses the Euro like most of the European countries. We recommend getting a debit card that allows you to withdraw Euros with virtually no fees. Monzo and Starling are the best options, but you can also use Revolut or a prepaid card from the post office.
